FRY CLUB JFC TOURNAMENT – SUNDAY 23rd MAY 2009
It was time for our tournament weekend and firstly,
our thanks go to Ian, Lesley, Baz and Aaron for
helping with programme sales on Saturday morning. Maurice, Anita and James
helped with Parking and Programme selling in the afternoon and also arrived
early on Sunday along with Tom and Annie and helped again prior to our matches.
Most of the team, their families and friends met up
on Sunday on Pitch 9 on a hot and sunny day with our newly purchased Gazebos for
what we hoped would be a great day of football.
We had 2 teams entered and these were:
Frys Wanderers Red – Tom, Oli, Aaron, Dan,
Joe, Michael and Jamie
Frys Wanderers White – James, Sam B, Ryan, Jace,
Jordan (joined by Sam M, Mitchell and Jack who kindly agreed to help make up a
team for the day)
We played a total of 14 matches and although we
only won 1 game, we all had a great day and were not disgraced at all as many
teams were from higher divisions. Men of
the match as chosen by Tom and Maurice were Aaron and Jack.
